I’ve just returned from another epic 3 weeks ski touring in Iceland and Greenland with six keen kiwi skiers. We met in Reykjavik and headed to the north side of the country. The skiing was amazing, high above the deep blue ocean. After a week in Iceland we flew to Kulusuk in East Greenland. There was some great touring there followed by a dog sled and boat trip to Kuummiut, a small remote fishing village with exceptional skiing right out the door. Locals then shuttled us to an even more remote mountain hut via skidoo where we based ourselves in this amazing heated hut at 700m above the frozen ocean, right next to fantastic ski runs. We got hit by a 4 day storm near the end with over 2m of snow. It was a great adventure right to the end……
