2015 NZ heli-ski season best in 10 years!

As the winter winds down in Wanaka, New Zealand we look back at one of the best winters that NZ has seen in a decade. Great snow, deep powder, stable conditions and exploring runs that I hadn’t skied in years. Here is a photo of the south west face of Mt […]

NZ heli-ski season is CRANKING

There’s been some fantastic early season powder this year with regular storms and great coverage. I have a feeling the cost of a days heli-skiing in NZ is going to raise substantially next year, so get in this year and enjoy a very special day out……

Gulmarg 2014

Its great to be back in Gulmarg for 6 weeks. It’s snowed almost 2m outside the hotel in the past 4 days and it’s still coming down. Kashmir is quite with no unrest and the added bonus is that there aren’t many tourists here. The gondola has been closed because […]

We finally have permission from the Ministry of Defence and the Indian Aviation Authority so we’re operational for 2013. Back in Gulmarg, India

It’s so nice to be back in India. Gulmarg has fantastic snow, as usual and there are few people here yet. It hasn’t snowed for a few days, but it’s still deep and light. There’s been a little bad press on some violence in Kashmir lately, but Gulmarg is as […]

I’ve done 6 expeditions of this style now, in all cases the guides were very competent, but I thought Mark was exceptional. Read the group and their competencies very well, the trip and ‘mountain strategy’ were very well planned and demonstrated a lot of experience and good judgement. He also set an amicable and relaxed tone for the group which made the trip a pleasure even on the harder days.
